Club objectives:

  • Maintaining ongoing contacts with ship crews, patronage institutions and organisations involved in maritime affairs.
  • Promoting maritime culture and knowledge of Poland’s maritime economy among the public.
  • Popularising the achievements of Polska Żegluga Morska P.P. and its employees, with particular emphasis on seagoing crews.
  • Developing various forms and methods of patronage activities and recommending them to Polska Żegluga Morska P.P.
  • Establishing patronage relationships.
    Maintaining regular contact between the Club, the Godmothers and Polska Żegluga Morska P.P. in order to obtain up-to-date information on its activities.

Each Ship Godmother:

  • Inspires patronage activities within her own community in support of the assigned ship.
  • Cooperates with local authorities, schools and organisations involved in maritime affairs to promote maritime knowledge and culture, with particular emphasis on
  • the PŻM Group and on raising awareness of the work of the crew of the assigned ship.
  • Fulfils the tasks and objectives of the Ship Godmothers Club, especially in her place of residence.
  • Maintains regular contact with the crew of the assigned ship.
