Polish Steamship Company manages a fleet of 52 vessels with a total deadweight of over 2 million DWT. These include bulk carriers in the HANDYSIZE (30,000–39,000 DWT) and PANAMAX (80,000–82,000 DWT) segments. In addition to bulk carriers, the PŻM Group manages ferries through Unity Line, including: m/f “Polonia”, m/f „Jantar Unity”, m/f “Gryf”, m/f “Skania”.

How our history unfolds
Polska Żegluga Morska P.P. is a company with a long-standing tradition, whose history dates back to the early years of the post-war reconstruction of the Polish maritime economy. Since its establishment, the company has consistently developed its fleet and expanded the scope of its operations, strengthening its position as one of the largest shipowners in Europe – each stage of this journey forms a remarkable story of maritime transport.
In the initial period of its activity, a significant influence on the organisation and development directions of the company was the management concept implemented under the leadership of the first Director General, Prof. Stanisław Karger.
